SAN DIEGO – B STREET CRUISE SHIP TERMINAL SHORE POWER SYSTEM
The Cochran Marine Shore Power System installed at the Port of San Diego B Street Cruise Ship Terminal was unveiled in December 2010. This dual voltage system was the second installation of the Cochran Marine Shore Power System in California and was installed in response to California’s aggressive clean air requirements for ports. This system was made possible, in part, by a Carl Moyer foundation grant, which requires reporting of emissions reductions after installation. The Cochran Marine Shore Power System automation allows for easy reporting of power consumption and helps the Port of San Diego provide the emission calculations it needs for the grant. Cochran Marine provided design and preconstruction support, procurement and commissioning services once the system was installed.
